Lock replacement for KF1.5 and KF3.0 furlers
All our furlers, from KF1.5 to KF12.0, are equipped with an automatic drum locking system, which can be used remotely. Exceptions made (for the moment) of carbon housings beyond the KF4.5.
Two parts allow this function : a non-visible guide track and a removable lock removable without tools. This lock is equipped with a fuse which breaks if misused. Since 2021, it is possible to order your furler without an automatic lock and benefit from a reduction

K tips
– The use of our locking system is instinctive, but we invite you to read the instructions for use and / or watch the explanatory video
– The direction of furling is indicated on all our furlers by an arrow
– So Generally, there is only one thing to remember : use the port line to roll up and unlock
– We have purposefully designed a one-way locking system. The alternating furling on one side and the other damages the fibers of the sails and considerably reduces the performance of the anti torsion.
– Be careful ! We have changed the shape of the lock slightly for the new V3 range of furlers (launched in 2021). It is not compatible with the old V2 range (2010 to 2021). A simple reminder : if the continuous line wheel is made of aluminum, it is V2. If the continuous line wheel is carbon or linen, it’s a V3 !
– The vast majority of sails on furlers do not have a UV strip since these sails are not intended to remain in position rolled up. The only recurring exception concerns the hook-mounted staysail which are fitted on long-distance sailboats and which can remain at bay for a long time.
– It is possible to modify the system to allow furling in the other direction. Useful in the case of an existing sail and equipped with a UV strip.
