Strengths
– Eco-designed: Made of stainless steel die casting to reduce raw material, waste, environmental impact, and extend product lifespan.
– A clutch with a traditional appearance yet many unique advantages at a competitive price.
– The entire mechanism can be removed without detaching the base, ensuring easy installation and maintenance.
– Captive mechanism during disassembly: no lost parts.
– Wedge design to increase holding power on the rope.
– Ultra-low-friction sliding pads: less wear and easier opening.
– Dual movable jaws: reduced rope wear and less friction when open.
– No top handle: Like our high-load KJC jammers, the KJS has no upper handle, allowing it to fit into tight spaces and be operated remotely. It also prevents handle breakage.
– Remote control: In just 5 minutes, you can disable the open-position lock and operate it remotely with a single rope.
– 70 mm mounting distance, identical to many competitors.
– High-performance jaws based on our high-load KJC technology to protect ropes, especially their covers.
– Stainless steel construction also minimizes bulk, making the KJS6 particularly compact.
– Lighter than many competitors despite its stainless-steel structure.
K tips
– The KJS6 can replace a competitor’s clutch. It is narrower, shorter, and mounts with two screws
– The wedge-jaw technology used in the KJS clutches requires the line’s full load to be released before opening.
– If you wish to use the clutch with remote control, you can keep it in the open position by keeping the control line taut on a simple cam cleat.
– Find & download the drilling and backing plate plans in the “Documentation” tab.
– Follow the entry (15°) and exit (10°) rope alignment guidelines for optimal performance.
– The KJS6 is not designed to be opened under load. As with most clutches secure the rope on a winch, open the clutch and ease out the line.
– Regularly clean your lockers/jammers regardless of brand or model. The KJS6 has the great advantage of making this process quick and easy.
